Reducing Macedonian Grower Costs With Needling Machines

By introducing needling machines to our contracted growers in Macedonia, we have reduced the number of labor days from 358 in 2011 to 265 in 2015. Before this advancement, stringing together oriental tobacco leaves was a time-intensive task that required hundreds of labor hours. Not only are the labor costs reduced, the needling machines are less expansive to maintain and result in better curing quality.
